The soundtrack for period romance Radhe Shyam unites several leading lights of music. Mithoon and Arijit Singh—the former is widely credited for introducing the superstar to Bollywood—team up for two tracks. The breezy “Aashiqui Aa Gayi” is full of the wonders of falling in love, while the spare “Soch Liya” finds them trying to accept the end of it. Meanwhile, the sibling duo of composer Amaal Mallik and singer Armaan Malik deliver “Jaan Hai Meri”, a heady ’90s-style romantic ballad. Other winning combos include a deft marriage of Indian percussion and rock riffs that enlivens the album’s energetic tracks.
