Sin Límites wasn’t supposed to be the final album from Martín Elías. Now it must serve as a joyous tribute to the late vallenato star, capturing him at a charismatic peak. For one last time, the Colombian singer plays the infectious master of ceremonies, working up a sweat on both the fierce groove of “La Eléctrica” and the glimmering sway of “Si Te Me Vas.” It’s another impossibly colorful twist on classic vallenato from Elías. It’s also a vibrant farewell from a talent gone far too soon.
