On Trap Island, the rapping impresario continues this intergenerational trend while also giving himself much-deserved props for his undeniable role in taking this music to the great heights it has reached. Following the lengthy albeit necessary intro “Otros Tiempos,” he thrives in solo settings like “Viaje” and the melodic “Igual Que Ayer,” the latter full of after-hours exhortations. His longtime collaborators Gigolo Y La Exce and Juhn show up on “Pesándote” and “Uno Más,” respectively, while comparative newcomers Hades66 and Ovi join on the edgy and defiant team-up “100.”
