Abelitro

Abelitro (sometimes stylized Ab3l1tr0) is a Honduran rapper and producer who performs a brand of intense, passionate hip-hop, occasionally venturing into reggaeton or EDM. Born Abel Cruz in 1990, he grew up listening to hip-hop music and started entering rap battles at the age of 20. He began writing and producing his own material, and soon started performing shows at churches and schools. His self-titled debut album (also known as Notas de Abelitro: Rap Romantico & Reagueton Cristiano) was released in 2014, and it featured a collaboration with Mexican CCM star Jesús Adrián Romero. Revolucion (Di Algo Re-Loaded) followed in 2015, including "Que Paso," featuring Sonido 2000. Third album Anónimo appeared in 2016, featuring guests Porta and Elias Ayaviri. The single "Ya No Quiero Sonrreir" was released in 2017. ~ Paul Simpson
