About Adam Levine
Adam Levine's enduring presence as an A-lister of American music is a testament to his talent, charisma, and tenacity, too. The singer has strived to impress ever since Levine—born in Los Angeles in 1979—formed the '90s alt-rock band Kara's Flowers with high-school classmates. After changing the band’s name to Maroon 5, they began a decades-long run of hits with 2002's Songs About Jane. Drawing inspiration from the greats of blue-eyed soul, Levine demonstrated his versatility as a vocalist by evincing an appealing vulnerability on ballads like "She Will Be Loved" and a sultry bravado on his dalliances with funk and dance pop. Levine kept pace with pop-world rivals by embracing new styles, which also expanded the toolkit he used to help hopefuls as a coach on The Voice. He met subsequent challenges with his typical finesse, including making his screen debut in Begin Again—the 2013 film that featured Levine's first solo songs—and renewing Maroon 5's currency with a Las Vegas residency that started in 2023.
