About Alexander Hanson
Conductor Alexander Hanson maintains dual careers in classical music and band music. Within the former field, he is known for innovative programming that includes the likes of symphonic jazz and music by Frank Zappa. As a band conductor, he has led several Scandinavian military bands and also a Salvation Army band. In 2018, he became chief conductor and artistic director of the Royal Swedish Navy Band. In 2024, he led that group on an album of marches by Carl Teike.
