About Antonino Fogliani

Antonino Fogliani has established himself among the major operatic conductors of his generation, appearing at major festivals and opera houses around the world. His repertoire in that realm is expansive, with a considerable focus on Rossini, and covers the genre's most popular works by composers such as Verdi, Mozart, and Puccini. He has also mounted productions of rarer works by the opera's greats as well as music by lesser-known composers such as Francesco Morlacchi and Nicola Vaccai. Fogliani is the music director of the Rossini in Wildbad Festival and the principal guest conductor of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Since 2021, Fogliani has been a professor of orchestral conducting at the Conservatorio di Musica Alessandro Scarlatti in Palermo. In 2024, he issued a recording of Rossini's rarely heard opera Ermione.
