About Bunbury
Before launching a solo career as Bunbury, Spanish singer-songwriter Enrique Bunbury performed with the best-selling Spanish rock act Héroes del Silencio. ∙ A huge fan of David Bowie, Bunbury covered “Ashes to Ashes” with Héroes del Silencio. ∙ Bunbury expanded his range beyond rock with his second solo album, 1999’s cabaret-folk-leaning Pequeño. ∙ He’s had four No. 1 albums in Spain, including 2008’s Phil Manzanera-produced Hellville de Luxe and 2010’s Las Consecuencias. ∙ A record-setting 90,000 fans attended his 2009 solo concert at Mexico’s Azteca Stadium, making him the first Spanish artist to draw a crowd that large in Latin America. ∙ In 2015, he was the second Spanish artist to be showcased on MTV Unplugged, when he performed a career-spanning set with guests Pepe Aguilar, Vetusta Morla, and Carla Morrison.
