In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Like many musicians of his ilk, DEVN’s affinity for music sprouted from his home roots-- his uncle was a singer/guitarist who performed cover songs at family reunions, and his grandmother put him in the church choir. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J. Cole, The Off-Season Lil Wayne, Tha Carter II Lute, Gold Mouf The North Carolina native offered vocals on Lute’s “Myself” from the Dreamville artist’s 2021 solo album. Tell us why you chose this song. “Foreva” The track seamlessly blends contemporary R&B, Pop Rap, and Trap Soul. DEVN said of the song, “'Foreva' is about being afraid to lose the feeling of love, and having the desire to hold on to a special romantic relationship that lasts forever.” What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The rising star appeared at this year’s Dreamville Festival and not to mention, he earned a co-sign from Apple Music’s Ebro Darden. Above all else, he took the next step in his solo career with the release of a new project called St. Luke St. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Now, with years of recording and life experience, DEVN is poised on putting out a new untitled self-engineered EP, due 2023
