Dhvani Bhanushali

Indian pop star Dhvani Bhanushali was 17 when Bollywood producer/songwriter Himesh Reshammiya, impressed by her talent, encouraged her to pursue a music career. ∙ Beginning with 2018’s Welcome to New York—which featured “Ishtehaar,” her duet with noted Qawwali singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan—she’s appeared on more than a dozen Indian film soundtracks. ∙ Her breakthrough came via the massive viral success of “Dilbar,” her 2018 remake of Alka Yagnik’s 1999 hit, which was featured in the soundtrack for the action film Satyameva Jayate. ∙ Bhanushali recorded several collaborations with award-winning Indian producer/songwriter Tanishk Bagchi, including her 2019 hit single “Vaaste.” ∙ She’s had six Top 5 hits on the Indian radio charts, including “Duniyaa,” her collaboration with Akhil, which reached No. 2 in 2019.
