About Eden Muñoz
The man with the golden pen, Mexican singer and composer Eden Muñoz has written numerous hit corridos that long ago cemented his legend in the pantheon of música mexicana. Though he was born in 1990 in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, his family soon relocated to the resort city of Mazatlán, where the fertile corrido and banda scenes nourished him. He began playing guitar at eight and performed in his family's seafood restaurant as a teenager. In 2006 he joined the rising ensemble Corrido Norteño as a vocalist, songwriter, and accordionist, releasing three moderately successful albums with the group before launching blockbuster project Calibre 50. The band ruled the música-mexicana charts throughout the 2010s, spanning iconic Muñoz-penned hits “Siempre Te Voy A Querer” and “Simplemente Gracias,” while its 2021 smash, “A La Antigüita,” engaged with banda's pop crossover. Muñoz went solo the following year, spending nine weeks on the Billboard 200 with the single “Chale,” later solidifying his titan status with superstar collaborators like Junior H and Fuerza Regida.
