About Eugenio Della Chiara
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a child I loved listening to the harpsichord, whose sound was so attractive to me: I remember especially Ralph Kirkpatrick playing Scarlatti Sonata K. 380 and Musica Antiqua Köln playing Handel Trio Sonata HWV 399. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Juilliard String Quartet, Leonard Bernstein, Schumann: Piano Quintet in E-Flat Major, Op. 44 - Mozart: Piano Quartet No. 1 in G Minor, K. 478 (Remastered) Julian Bream, Music of Spain, Vol. 7 - A Celebration of Andrés Segovia Quatuor Mosaïques, Haydn: String Quartets, Op. 76 I love Bream's "A celebration of Andrés Segovia" because it demonstrates that exploring new paths is possible even in compositions we already have a reference recording. Then two legendary chamber music albums: one classic, the other romantic. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sonatina for Guitar: II. Andante” Probably the single track that could better represent my thought about the music and the classical guitar is the Andante from Moreno Torroba Sonatina: every time I play this charming romance I can enjoy all the beautiful colors of my instrument. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The invitation to perform a solo recital at the Rossini Opera Festival in 2013 was crucial to my musical journey. This event marked the beginning of my career and let me know Alberto Zedda, one of the protagonists of the "Rossini Renaissance". Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There are many beautiful things to do, but defining precise goals when talking about music can be difficult and ineffective. For now, I like to fulfill my musical wishes: we will see if they will go into defined performing or recording projects.
