Fairground Attraction

Fairground Attraction are a British neo-skiffle group whose breezy folk-pop single "Perfect" topped the U.K. singles chart in 1988. Fronted by Glaswegian singer Eddi Reader, their cult classic debut album, The First of a Million Kisses, enjoyed critical and commercial success, ultimately serving as a springboard for Reader's solo career, which she launched soon after. After the group disbanded, 1990's collection of B-sides and live tracks Ay Fond Kiss appeared. Decades later, Fairground Attraction reunited to mount a tour and comeback album with 2024's Beautiful Happening.
