In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad playing ‘Songs In The Key Of Life’ by Stevie Wonder in the car when I was a tiny kid. It made my brain expand just listening to it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Tell us why you chose this song. “Slipped Back (feat. Izzy Risk)” This is still one of my favourite songs we’ve made – Izzy’s vocals are magic, and it was a properly slow cooked tune over a couple of years. This is why I’m a firm believer in taking your time with music. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Headlining the Jazz day at the Boiler Room London Festival in 2021 with my full live band. I’d just released Southside Hymns and it felt incredible to play out, especially as we’d just come out of COVID and that project was made during lockdown. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Just to be able to keep making music and performing with my friends, there’s nothing quite like that to be honest! Sustainability is really important to me, as I want to still be making and releasing music in 5, 10, 20 years’ time.
