About Jordan Phoenix
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest music experiences would be when my mom bought me a drum pad for practicing drums for music school. I was hooked on music ever since then and began writing songs at a young age like around 9 or 10. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Deftones, White Pony Seal, Seal II The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Axis: Bold As Love I chose these 3 albums because they helped get me out of depression. Without these three it would have been hard for me to make it. They are such amazing bodies of work to me. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Moon” I chose Moon because I love the spontaneousness I had when creating it. The idea just came to me and I let it flow. It was one of those special songs to me even though there are more songs of mine I feel this way about and cherish. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career so far was releasing my first album Painkiller. I took my time with how I wanted to sound. It is a shift from the sound of my 7 EP but I feel like this is the right direction for me to go musically. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to work with Chino from Deftones or Lajon Witherspoon from Sevendust. I do that and I am a happy man.
