Singer, songwriter, and producer Kamal. creates soulful bedroom pop that exists between lush and stripped-down. Born in Harlesden, North West London to Caribbean British parents, the artist began playing piano at age 6, before eventually writing songs on ukulele. Influenced by neo-soul icons like Sade, D’Angelo, and Erykah Badu, Kamal.’s unguarded approach to music reflects the unabashed vulnerability of his predecessors.
