In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My sister and I were dancing and playing mermaid in the basement we called home, barefoot on the grey carpet. Dad was working overtime in the same room playing XTC "Bless You" in between Bob Marley and Pink Floyd. I felt like a real mermaid. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Imogen Heap, Speak for Yourself Lady Gaga, ARTPOP Tori Amos, Scarlet's Walk (2023 Remaster) Speak for Yourself saved my life when I was bullied and shy. Scarlet's Walk made sense of everything when I was coming into my womanhood. Artpop taught me to love pop music for the first time. I've always been rebellious and contrarian, I needed it. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Don't Push Me” It was the first time I found myself in my music. I felt lost and defeated not knowing how to bring my songs to life, so I contacted Nic Rollo. It felt like a test, I was scared my songs couldn't be all I hoped. It was like suddenly becoming whole. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Any time somebody tells me that my music helps them in any way. That's amazing. I live for that connection, it saved my life many times, I hope to extend that gesture to those that need it. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Is everything an answer? No, right now it's make creating and playing music a life-long adventure. Ultimately, I want to make a space people can connect to each other and themselves, to feel free and alive. I want to bring it all over the world.
