About La Ley
Eclectic Latin rock band La Ley formed in 1987 around a rotating cast of characters. After releasing en EP and the hit single "Desiertos," the Chilean pop/rock ensemble emerged with their first full-length record, Doble Opuesto, featuring a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Angie." By 1994, La Ley had achieved local rock sensation status, but stalled when founder Andrés Bobe passed away after a car accident. Nevertheless, the group pressed on with new member Pedro Frugone and found international success with the Grammy-winning MTV Unplugged in 2001, along with a bevy of popular studio albums. ~ Drago Bonacich
