About Love Is All
Featuring a saxophone, jagged rhythms, and lyrics shouted as often as sung, Swedish five-piece Love Is All recall the more abrasive side of art-punk and post-punk (X-Ray Spex, Raincoats, Delta 5) that was largely overlooked in the early 2000s revival, cutting that sound with a more contemporary and unmistakably Swedish indie rock sensibility. More than mere revivalists, Love Is All bring the goods, with singer Josephine Olausson's manic panic Poly Styrene-meets-Karen O. yelp more than matched by the angular stylings of Nicholaus Sparding (guitar/vocals), and the up-tight rhythm section of Johan Lindwall (bass) and Markus Görsch (drums).
