In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest memories of making music is listening to my parents play folk songs around the campfire on our annual canoeing trips. My dad played banjo whilst my mother sang. The rest of us would clap and sing along. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ezra Collective, Where I'm Meant To Be Hiatus Kaiyote, Choose Your Weapon Kamasi Washington, Harmony of Difference - EP All three albums are incredible examples of fusion music. They have all inspired me to make the music I make today. They all carry high energy performance of music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Twin” The song is to me a display of incredible songwriting, musicianship and improvisational ability. The two trumpets interplay with each other in different intervals, and rhythmically at times they are in unison, at times they trade and go seperate. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Perfomring at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club for the first time. It was an incredible moment to play on the same stage as so many of my heroes have before. It felt like a huge step in my careeer and gave me the sense that the hard work put in is showing. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Performing on all continents with my band. My music is based on the joy of sharing cultures and coming together. It would be amazing to play on all continents so that we can share our music with people around the world and be inspired by them
