About Mikel Erentxun
Although he was born in Caracas, Venezuela, singer/songwriter Mikel Erentxun would grow up and spend most of his life in San Sebastián, Spain. It was there that in 1984 he formed Duncan Dhu, one of the key Spanish rock bands of the '80s. While the group would remain active until 2001, from the early '90s on, its members began to devote more and more time to their individual endeavors. Erentxun, for instance, made his solo debut in 1992 with the acclaimed Naufragios and went on to release about a dozen albums over the next two decades, and in the process acquired a reputation as one of the most prominent Spanish songwriters of his generation. After reuniting with Duncan Dhu for a new album and tour in 2013, Erentxun resumed his solo career with Corazones (2015) and El Hombre Sin Sombra (2017). ~ Mariano Prunes
