About Myra Huang
Myra Huang has been active both as a pianist and as part of the music staff at the New York City Opera. As a pianist, she has performed in recitals and chamber music concerts at venues around the world. Huang also served on the staffs of the Washington National Opera and Opera Pacific, and worked with conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, and Plácido Domingo. In 2012, she was named head of music staff at the New York City Opera, with which she had worked since 2004. Opera News praised her as "among the top accompanists of her generation." Her recordings with tenor Nicholas Phan, mezzo-soprano Jennifer Rivera, and others have been well received by critics. ~ James Manheim
