Night Music

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memories were going to music classes run by my parents and their friends - it was always great fun, rolling around on the floor and singing with other kids. From there we all started playing instruments, and some of us still do! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Agnes Obel, Myopia Chet Baker, The Very Best of Chet Baker Various Artists, Pärt: Spiegel Im Spiegel, Fratres & Für Alina I love the melancholy, calming effect of these albums. While by completely different artists in separate genres, they all encompass what I'm trying to create with Night Music, exploring what it means to be still, creative, and thoughtful. Tell us why you chose this song. “Mirrorball” I love this recording of Mirrorball because it's the first release we made, and brings together music from our home town of Manchester, with our sound world of classical instruments. I hope it captures what Night Music is about! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Well I once played the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury, in my other life as a freelance musician. I've also played some other incredible venues, like the Sydney Opera House, and the Royal Albert Hall. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Oh yes. There are so many countries and venues I'd love to perform in still. Success for me would be to grow an audience for Night Music across the world, and also collaborate with artists from all walks of life cultures and backgrounds.
