About Noah Haidu
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 5 years old I attended a classical piano performance at Krannert Center by my uncle Ian Hobson. He was a technical wizard at the piano and I was spellbound. Within a year I had started piano lessons with a teacher recommended by Ian What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock, Jack DeJohnette, Standards in Norway Miles Davis, Someday My Prince Will Come Someday My Prince: Incredible ballad work especially by Miles and pianist Wynton Kelly. Black Codes: the best album from the 1980's, everyone sounds beautiful. Standards: wonderful repertoire. The trio sounds amazing at every tempo and mood. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Midnight Silence (feat. Steve Wilson) [with Billy Hart & Todd Coolman]” This is one of the great jazz compositions written by one of my heroes: Kenny Kirkland. I loved making this trio album and our biographical film and book projects which allowed me to dig deeper and really get to the heart of this music.
