I recall uncle playing Surfin' USA by the Beach Boys on a hot summer day in LA at a pool and trying to surf inside the pool. Until that point, music seemed like an adult activity. The Doors, Strange Days The Strokes, Is This It The Velvet Underground, The Velvet Underground The Doors made me fall in love with music. The Velvet Underground made me want to make music. Tell us why you chose this song. “Need to Know” I wrote this song while visiting Berlin my very first time. It was my first real approach at using more electronic sounds and loops and opened up new avenues for me.
