Peter Cigleris

Clarinetist Peter Cigleris is active as a soloist and chamber player, performing with both modern and historically oriented orchestral ensembles. Cigleris was seen on BBC television performing as a member of conductor John Eliot Gardiner's Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique in the drama Eroica. He has been a member of the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Swan, and the City of Birmingham Symphony. He was the principal clarinetist with the Symphony Orchestra of India and gave the Mexican premiere of Malcolm Arnold's Clarinet Concerto No. 2. As an active chamber player, Cigleris has performed with pianists Martin Cousin and John Lenehan and cellist Julian Lloyd Webber. Cigleris has made several recordings beginning with English Fantasy, released in 2013. In 2021, he joined the BBC National Orchestra of Wales on Rediscovered: British Clarinet Concertos by Dolmetsch, Maconchy, Spain-Dunk, Wishart.
