In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up listening to gospel music on radio and trying to emulate what I heard onto the keyboard. I later went on to pursue a formal education in music and production through universities in South Africa, USA, Canada and Sweden. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Marcus Miller, Power: The Essential Marcus Miller New York Voices, New York Voices Robert Glasper Experiment, Black Radio It is in the diversity of these projects that I found my own voice. I love melody and harmony. As I am an African born in Africa, I resonate with African drums and rhythm. So I merge all my listening experiences together with the sounds of my home.
