About Randy Brecker
With a career spanning nearly 40 years, Philadelphia-born trumpeter Randy Brecker is one of America’s few remaining journeyman musicians. He has appeared on over 100 albums, performing with everyone from Bruce Springsteen and Frank Zappa to Charles Mingus and Parliament-Funkadelic. A founding member of Blood, Sweat and Tears, Brecker also formed the renowned jazz/rock fusion combo the Brecker Brothers with his younger brother, tenor saxophonist Michael Brecker. The duo would garner seven Grammy nominations, winning twice. As a solo artist, Randy Brecker also won his first Grammy in 1998 with INTO THE SUN.
