In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first ever song I wrote was actually a poem about how much I love bread! I really thought it was eloquent and bold. Kitchen tools made percussion and a fake mic was used to perform it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Amy Winehouse, Back to Black Anderson .Paak, Malibu Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly The blues and soul have always been a part of my writing. There's just something about a good soul record and I think in some ways all these records have that- Heart. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “If There's a Sign” Life gets tough. Plain and simple. In my dark-times, almost always, a sign is what gets me through to the other end. A song perfectly encapsulating what being 20-something means today. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the biggest moments for me playing NH7 Weekender with acts like The Lumineers and JiD on the bill! Just the rush of playing to such a large crowd with a band very dear to my heart and then proceeding to watch The Lumineers play across from us. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So. Many.Things. First, there's putting out an album. Then it's working with a bunch of musicians I admire (The list is far too long) A short film. A world tour!
