About Sam Levine

Accomplished jazz musician and session man Sam Levine grew up in the Midwest in the 1950s and later attended Harvard College, the University of Alaska, and Indiana University, where he obtained a degree in applied music, music history, and theory. After moving to Nashville in the mid-70s, Levine quickly made a name for himself as a versatile (saxophone, flute, clarinet, and even penny whistle) session musician and sideman. In the early '90s he began releasing his own material, mostly instrumental music collections in a smooth jazz style, but also praise & worship music. In the new millennium, Levine found another niche for his output thanks to the growing demand for soothing instrumental music on streaming platforms.
