In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mama used to fumble her way through old hymns on our digital keyboard in the living room. She was a great alto, but not a particularly accomplished pianist. I did not care. When she played, the room glowed. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kevin Prosch, Palanquinn Remi Wolf, Juno Sufjan Stevens, Illinois These records really represent the spectrum of what I love in different corners of modern music. On one hand the sacredness of of Palanquinn, on another the reckless exhuberance of Juno. Illinois is just timeless 😂 Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Glow Sticks” I worked so long and hard on this song. I did not enjoy this lol. I fell out of love with it for months. Something was there, but I couldn't find it. On version maybe 15 bajillion, it became what it is, and I felt incredibly happy. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Signing to Badman Recording Co., and being label mates with the likes of Innocence Mission, Strfkr, and My Morning Jacket! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Tour North America regularly in a decade when our kids are older.
