About The Bronx
While their name misleadingly points to New York origins, Matt Caughthran (vocals), Joby J. Ford (guitar), James Tweedy (bass), Jorma Vik (drums) and Ken Horne (guitar) actually formed the punk-cum-early-glam-metal hybrid the Bronx in Los Angeles circa 2002. After putting out demos on their own White Drugs label, they were almost immediately signed to a major label contract with Island Records. Over the next several years, the Bronx released three self-titled albums, produced by such luminaries as ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke and Soundgarden/Hole engineer Michael Beinhorn. In that same span of time, the group canvassed the country, touring with peers such as the Riverboat Gamblers and Priestess.
