The Plug

This multi-artist rap project is based around a record label in Amsterdam and founded by Jack the Plug and Sean D, an engineer. The Plug began as an entrepreneurial venture, with Jack the Plug setting up a handful of weed cafés around Europe, staring with Barcelona, Berlin, and Amsterdam. He eventually branched out, including a distribution service in Oakland, California, and a music label, Plug Recordz. After a brief social media exchange, Jack spoke with engineer Sean D about setting up a multi-artist project. Having worked with many artists in the U.K. rap scene, Sean D persuading numerous MCs to get involved. Their debut album, Plug Talk, dropped in 2019, featuring a plethora of artists, including Kenny Allstar, Offset, Chip, Yxng Bane, Loski, Rich the Kid, M Huncho, 67, and Fredo, to name but a few. ~ Liam Martin
