About Tim Gorman
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I got a Baldwin spinet piano when I was 4 years old. Ten years later I was introduced to the Moog Synthesizer. These two events plotted my future. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Art Tatum, The Art Tatum Solo Masterpieces, Vol. 1 (Original Jazz Classics Remasters) Elvis Costello, My Aim Is True Pink Floyd, The Dark Side of the Moon Remastered Elvis Costello, My Aim Is True. The songwriting raised the bar for me. Especially the lyrics. Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon. The shear spectacle and audio quality of the entire recording. Art Tatum, Masterpieces. The master of stride. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Shine (feat. Alan Sehorn & Jeff Horton)” A song I wrote about lifting yourself up when things seem dark. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing Shea Stadium with The Who. Rolling Stone says it is one of Rocks best live performances. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I enjoy collaborating with other artists and creating a vision of music for the future.
