Typecast

From underground roots in Laguna, Typecast became one of the most influential rock bands in Southeast Asia. The award-winning quartet first unleashed their Pinoy post-hardcore sound in the late 1990s, but 2004’s The Infatuation Is Always There created a lasting cult following. Later hits like “Will You Ever Learn” and “The Boston Drama” became set-list staples, and in 2019 they toured internationally, playing in the US and Australia. Their brutal yet beautiful OPM legacy—redolent with slabs of electric guitars and incendiary drums—will always send their fans into a glorious, head-banging frenzy.
