Van Pletzen’s cheeky, satirical lyrics and feel-good, upbeat productions have made them a prominent act within South Africa’s electronic music landscape. Van Pletzen—comprised of Peach and Nik Nax—was formed in 2015, and spreading positive energy has been the duo’s driving force ever since. Their 2018 debut album, Kak Lekke Vibe, is proof; high-spirited vibes and lightheartedness permeate the offering. On their sophomore release, Love & Legehness, Van Pletzen explore the theme of romance and expand their musical palette by including cheerful ballads. As part of the vanguard of the new generation of popular Afrikaans music, Van Pletzen have collaborated with fellow contemporary acts Early B, Jack Parow, and Biggy.
