Wordcolour

Moving away from a role creating music for U.K. primetime TV, London-based electronic artist Nicholas Worrall began his Wordcolour project in 2018 as an outlet for his more experimental work. He crafted choppy rhythms with shifting tempos and overlaid disparate voices from films and online videos to achieve something that approximated digital musique concrète. An early mixtape caught the ear of Barcelona's Lapsus Records which subsequently issued his debut EP, 2019's Tell Me Something. East London's Houndstooth then took him into their fold, releasing both 2020's Juno Way EP and 2022's Bluster.
