In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I started singing at 4 years old in my hometown, Havana, with the children's group "Los Meñiques". From that moment I felt that the stage was my "home".I began to study violin and piano at the age of 7 creating a unique bond with the violin. Chucho Valdés, Lo Mejor De...Chucho Valdés Nina Simone, The Essential Nina Simone Stéphane Grappelli, Yehudi Menuhin, Yehudi Menuhin & Stéphane Grappelli Chucho Valdés is my beloved Maestro and an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Nina Simone taught me that music is a powerful tool for social change. Grapelli and Menuhin are two of my favorite violinists. Michael League)” A wonderful collaboration with Michael League, a musician and friend I admire very much. A true gem that proves that music knows no boundaries. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing on multiple occasions with my beloved maestro Chucho Valdés is undoubtedly one of the most incredible gifts I have received in my career. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes, I have a list of wonderful artists I want to collaborate with. And also that my music can touch many hearts around the world.
