Bob Mould Essentials

Considered one of the most influential songwriters in alternative music, Bob Mould started his career in 1979 as the guitarist and vocalist for legendary Minneapolis melodic hardcore band Hüsker Dü. After their acrimonious split, he released more than a dozen solo albums as well as a handful of enormously successful recordings with his early '90s band Sugar, and he even wrote the song that The Daily Show uses for its theme. Mould came out in 1994, cementing his status as one of the best-known openly gay indie rock gods, a topic he tackles in his memoir See A Little Light.
