Bryan Adams' non-singles experiments with other rock styles remain true to his keen pop sensibilities. The loose-limbed “You've Been a Friend to Me” shows him playing sensitive-guy troubadour; the jittery “You Belong to Me” is a rockabilly rave-up; the taut “Hidin' from Love” takes its cues from razor-sharp New Wave; and the hopeful “Brand New Day” is anthemic yet supportive.
