Carla Morrison has one of the most awe-inspiring voices in music, an unsettling falsetto that can make any lyric as heartbreaking or as enchanting as the Mexican singer wishes. Imagine Björk, en español, with a little grit added for good measure. Her own music favors simple, guitar-based arrangements (as on the plaintive, Latin GRAMMYⓇ-nominated ballad "Déjenme Llorar"), but Morrison has yet to find a limit. In 2013, she sang cumbia with Los Ángeles Azules and stole the show.
