Eli Soares Essentials

Born in Belo Horizonte, artist and producer Eli Soares learned to play guitar and drums as a child while performing in church. By the time he was 18 he’d already won a music award, and would go on to release a handful of albums—and receive Latin Grammy nominations—en route to becoming one of Brazil’s most celebrated evangelical singer-songwriters. His style ranges widely from the soulful approaches of fellow Christian artists like Adhemar De Campos and Álvaro Tito to contemporary dance, pop and rock, with the funky “Tudo Passa” far from the dreamy pensiveness of “Deus Não É Culpado”.
