UK singer/songwriter Robyn Hitchcock's zany ethos and gentle psychedelia cast a long, weird shadow. His free-associative lyrics and floaty aesthetic can be heard in the reveries of Badly Drawn Boy and Grant-Lee Phillips, as well as the reedy verses of The Decemberists and I Am Kloot, but his legacy is perhaps most apparent in the gorgeously wigged-out songs of the Elephant 6 collective.
