Shalom Hanoch, the godfather of Israeli rock, began writing and composing in his kibbutz in the ‘60s. His breakthrough came in 1968 when he collaborated with Arik Einstein on the legendary album Mazal Gdi, now considered the cornerstone of Israeli rock. Hanoch has gone on to a successful solo career as an uncompromising rock artist, with more than a dozen albums to his credit.
