Sonic Youth is one of the few rock bands that got even more experimental as their career progressed. From collaborations with post-modern composers, improvisations with free jazz performers and noise-assault skronkers, and sessions with fellow indie musicians, Sonic Youth loved getting out of the comfort zone.
