Spanning over six decades and more than 40 chart-topping singles, Southern All Stars remain a cornerstone of contemporary Japanese pop. Their songs are immediately characterised by lead vocalist Keisuke Kuwata’s grainy, textured vocals. But they’ve also demonstrated a distinctive ability to change with the times.
