Teenage Fanclub: Influences

On their 1990 debut, A Catholic Education, Teenage Fanclub applied the narcotic noise of My Bloody Valentine to the jangly pop of a pre-rave Primal Scream. But with 1991's Bandwagonesque, they broke big by fusing the power-chord crunch of Dinosaur Jr. with the power-pop punch of Big Star. And from the late '90s on, they've embraced the glistening guitars and heavenly harmonies of The Byrds.
