  • This Saturday at 20:30 hours, Brian Banda of Times Television will host Dr James Maurice Mchenga, Acting Head of the Department of Oral Health at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS), on the program Times Exclusive. Dr Mchenga, the nation’s only Maxillofacial Surgeon, will discuss significant challenges within the field, including jaw surgery, cleft palate repair, and reconstructive facial surgery. He will also issue a compelling appeal for increased support, highlighting the need for resources and assistance in this area is more pressing than many may realize.   • Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) recently held an inspiring career talk at Likuni Boys Secondary School, guiding students to make informed decisions about their future. Led by Siphiwe Lino, Assistant Registrar for Academics, the KUHeS delegation highlighted the diverse programs available at the university's five schools and stressed the importance of excelling in science subjects for those aspiring to join the university. “KUHeS is not only an academic institution but also a thriving community of health professionals dedicated to making a meaningful impact on society. With commitment and hard work, you have the opportunity to join this global network of health practitioners and contribute to a healthier future for all,” Lino articulated passionately. Likuni Boys Secondary School Deputy Head Teacher, Joshua Kholowa commended the initiative as vital for providing guidance and motivation, especially for students lacking role models.

  • 2025 ACADEMIC YEAR INTAKE FOR MATURE ENTRY AND ECONOMIC FEE PAYING PROGRAMMES Kamuzu University of Health Sciences Council is pleased to announce the names of candidates who have been selected to various Mature Entry and Economic Fee Paying degree programmes offered by the University for the 2025 Academic Year. The candidates fulfilled all the requirements for admission to the respective programmes and were selected based on merit. The total number of students selected is 290 comprising of 123 Males (42.3%) and 167 Females (57.7%).
