#HaynesBoone lawyers Kent Rutter and Lynne Liberato honored Judge David Hittner at the formal dedication of the restoration of the case file for a matter he handled before becoming a judge. In the 1970 criminal case, Judge Hittner won an acquittal in an assault-to-murder jury trial. Judge Mark Davidson, the driving force behind restoration of historic legal files, presented background on the case. The research and preparation of the file were made possible through the support of Rutter and Liberato. Rutter is a former law clerk to Judge Hittner, and Liberato is his long-time collaborator as co-author of the sentinel law review articles “Summary Judgments in Texas.” Congratulations, Judge Hittner!
