  • DNV is excited to announce the official kick-off of the Joint Industry Project (JIP) Ground Investigation for Floating Wind (GIFT), an ambitious initiative aimed at revolutionizing ground characterization for offshore wind turbine developments. With the growing need for reliable, certifiable, and installable anchoring designs for floating wind turbines and seabed cable developments, DNV has identified a gap in guidance for ground investigations. This JIP will collaborate with over 15 industry partners, including academic institutions and regulatory bodies, to develop a comprehensive recommended practice for improving ground investigations and enabling safer and more efficient designs. • Managing AI risk... real problems need real solutions Every industrial AI system comes with its own set of risks. But here's what most people overlook: these risks don't exist in isolation - they transform and amplify existing challenges. Take autonomous ships and medical devices. Each faces unique challenges: ▪ Biased data leading to skewed decisions ▪ System updates that could alter performance ▪ Security gaps with real-world consequences At DNV we're seeing industries tackle these challenges differently. Some excel, others struggle. Curious about what works? We've analyzed successful approaches across industries. See the full analysis: https://lnkd.in/dsuufg6Q

Senior Director, M&A Advisory at DNV | Leading a dynamic team towards achieving exceptional results

It was great to spend some time in New Orleans last week at Infocast Projects & Money, where I met with our customers, caught up with my fantastic DNV colleagues Elizabeth Kaiga and Joo Yong, and participated in a panel with Primergy Solar, NY Green Bank, Invenergy, Copia Power, and White & Case LLP. M&A in the renewable energy and energy infrastructure space has always been dynamic, but with increasing energy demand due to AI and data centers and evolving market conditions, we are hearing more from industry and our customers about technology diversification to lower overall portfolio risk. While our M&A team has been focused on the core renewables (wind, solar, storage) consistently for the past 5 years, we've also been branching out and utilizing the broad expertise within DNV to provide M&A diligence for portfolios that include transmission, manufacturing facilities, renewable fuels, fleet charging, chemical storage facilities, pipelines, geothermal, gas turbines, and more. We’re ready for a dynamic 2025 – are you?
